Career
Dr.
Michael Mullan completed his graduation as a medical practitioner. He started
his first research work at the Institute
of Psychiatry, London University.
Here, he began his research in the field of molecular genetics. After this, he
attained a Mental Health Foundation Research Fellowship at St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School
to retrain in molecular genetics.
He was senior author on several articles and
research papers pertaining to the genetic disturbances which lead to the early
onset of Alzheimer. He has served as
a co-author for more than 200 research papers associated with the Alzheimer’s
disease. He has also worked as a professor of Pathology, Neurology and
Psychiatry. In the year 1992, he joined the University in Tampa and established
the Roskamp Laboratories.
Inception of Roskamp Institute
In
the year 1998, Michael Mullan established the famous Roskamp Institute. This institute has been set up to find better
and effective treatments for the Alzheimer’s disease and other brain disorders.
In the year 2003, this institute was relocated to a fully fledged research
facility in Sarasota, Florida. He is currently operating as the President of the Roskamp Institute. He is also the CEO of the Archer Pharmaceuticals. This institute consists of more
than 70 scientists, students, clinical and support staff pursuing advanced
scientific understanding of neuropyschiatric diseases.
This
institute is funded through multifarious sources such as the National
Institutes of Health, the Veteran’s Administration, the Alzheimer’s Association
and the Department of Defence. This institute has also conducted a clinical
trial of Alzheimer in Europe with a new and
safe medicinal drug which shows greater and faster recovery in humans. Here, Dr.
Mullan also discovered the beta-amyloid proteins and their association with the
Alzheimer’s disease.

Dr.
Mullan is a well known biomedical researcher. Under his expert guidance, the
institute of Roskamp is earning
accolades from worldwide for its advanced research works in the spheres of
Traumatic Brain Research, Gulf War Syndrome, Alzheimer’s disease and other neuropsychiatric
disorders.
Moreover,
Dr. Mullan has also discovered certain new factors which are leading to this
perilous disease. He has also described some really easy methods to prevent as

has also contributed immensely in identifying the well known Swiss Mutation.
